Marco Biaggio is a Swiss-Italian-American singer-songwriter-producer-composer-cellist. He started developing his multi-hyphenate self since when he was 6 and started playing the cello, and he then taught himself the guitar, studied piano and mastered Logic Pro. He is currently finishing a Master Degree in Interdisciplinary music studies at Berklee college of music, while also completing his most recent album, Love and Ruin. As a solo artist, he is creating new original compositions, spanning from songs to orchestral pieces and film scores.
Marco has accumulated a wide experience in music and in performance. He entered Juilliard precollege in 2010 at age 10, graduating in 2018. At Juilliard he studied cello with André Emelianoff and Caroline Stinson, as well as composition with Dr. Andrew Thomas. He focused on modern cello-solo repertoire, such as the sonatas for cello solo by Kodàly and Cassadó, which he performed for the first time at 13 and then several more times later. He then graduated from Lehigh University with a BA in music and theater in 2021. There he studied composition with Dr. Paul Salerni, cello with Christopher Gross, voice with Sun Min Lee, and conducting and Choral Arts with Dr. Steven (“Doc”) Sametz. As music director of The Lehigh Melismatics, an a cappella group, he managed the recording and subsequent editing of multiple individuals for their EP Chains, released in late 2021, and was the producer for their next work, Run Away with Me, released in 2023.
Since 2022, he was in the Berklee College of Music Graduate Program, working on performance, composition, and audio engineering. He obtained the Master’s degree from Berklee in 2024.
